200 Blankets Distributed by Dreams for Change

200 blankets donated by With A Purpose to Dreams for Change, an organization located in San Diego which was founded in 2009 to assist individuals and families struggling with the economic downturn using innovative initiatives. The San Diego State Aztecs Blanket for a Blanket program gives a donation blanket to local non profits for each collegiate blanket that is purchased.

Dreams for Change has served those dealing with homelessness through creative programs such as the Safe Parking Program, which met the needs of over 300 people and helped over half of them to obtain permanent housing. This idea developed by SDSU students has since affected over 2500 individuals in the six years it has been running.

Dreams for a Change also started a fresh food truck that accepts cash and EBT cards called the Eat Better Truck. The Interfaith Community Services works along with the Senior Connections Program to offer healthy food at discounted prices, support services and activities for resident seniors.

With A Purpose is proud to partner with organization like Dreams for Change. Their award-winning programming is empowering people in San Diego through these cost-effective opportunities to secure a better future for themselves.
