Rainbow House in Columbia, Missouri has multiple services focused on supporting children and young people (up to age 21) facing unsafe and abusive home environments. Since 1986, their Children's Emergency Shelter has provided a home for children facing crisis and focused on keeping sibling groups together, providing counseling, healing family dynamics, and improving parenting skills. They also serve homeless youth ages 16-21 with their Homeless Youth Program, which consists of a transitional living program and an emergency shelter.
Missouri Tigers Blanket for a Blanket purchases provided for 98 blankets to be provided to the organization. Said April Barnett, "We were all so excited you thought of Rainbow House and the youth we serve! When children first come to Rainbow House, we let them pick out a blanket and a stuffed animal to help welcome and comfort them, and, when they leave, those items are theirs to take with them!"
