US VETS Los Angeles Benefits from USAF and USC Purchases

US VETS in Los Angeles, the first US VETS site, has served veterans in the Los Angeles area for over two decades. They now serve over 500 veterans each day. The organization houses homeless veterans and provides support to veterans in establishing permanent housing and finding employment opportunities.

US Air Force Blanket for a Blanket and USC Trojans Blanket for a Blanket purchases provided 42 blankets for their shelter's residents. Pictured are a worker and a couple of the Inglewood shelter's residents.

Said Nancy Wolf, Development & Veteran Activities Coordinator, "We were so glad that you thought of our vets when the blankets became available. They were very well-received by our residents and helped support our program by keeping our costs down since we didn’t need to go buy additional blankets thanks to your generosity.

She added, "The blankets arrived at such a good time! Although we are in Southern California, the temperature does dip at night and the vets were so happy to have an extra warm blanket to add to their beds when it started to get chilly this winter."
