With a Purpose Delivers 640 Blankets to Boulder Shelter

With a Purpose has donated 17,400+ blankets to date, recently giving 640 blankets to Colorado's Boulder Shelter for the Homeless. Using the Buy One, Give One model, Colorado Buffaloes Blanket for a Blanket provides a non-branded blanket for someone in need for each blanket purchased. Boulder Shelter is a nonprofit organization founded on the belief that the local community is responsible for making basic necessities available for clients in need.

When a local homeless veteran died in 1982 due to exposure to the winter cold, a band of Boulder citizens formed the Task Force on Shelter and Food for the Poor. This group ultimately led to the Boulder Shelter for the Homeless. The shelter is open year-round and annually serves 1,000 men and women.

According to the Shelter's website, 75% of the homeless they help are men. A quarter of those men are veterans. Some people at the shelter never made it through high school and have been homeless for years, while others hold college degrees yet have still hit hard times. What unites them is not just their need, but their need to be treated with the dignity they deserve as human beings.

With a Purpose is proud to support organizations like Boulder Shelter as they assist those who are looking for work, those who are working on themselves and those who are working hard to integrate back into the community.
