Day 2 (Part II) - Fall 2015 Blanket Drops Tour - 140 Blankets The Salvation Army of Lee County

Paul West, Board Chairman for The Salvation Army of Lee County, spent a couple hours with us yesterday afternoon. TSA Lee County is a nonprofit partner of the Auburn Tigers Blanket for a Blanket. Paul shared with us how TSA Lee County partners with and supports other local nonprofits to face Lee County community challenges. The organization has received 140 blankets from With a Purpose, which they plan to use for their Meals on Wheels outreach to homebound senior citizens and to provide warmth to children in need via their Angel Tree Project this upcoming holiday season.

Besides his service for TSA Lee County, Paul works as the Enrollment and Scholarship Officer for Auburn University's Army ROTC. He is a decorated military officer and a truly engaged citizen. Paul also serves on another city board and has a family very actively engaged in other Auburn area efforts.

After a great meeting with Paul, on our way out of town, we made time to stop by Jordan-Hare Stadium, home of the Auburn Tigers football team.
