640 Blankets to United Way Norman by With a Purpose

With a Purpose has donated over 18,555 blankets to nonprofit organizations benefiting three main initiatives: Housing Agencies, Disaster Relief and Veterans. Its Blanket for a Blanket program uses the 1-for-1 model and gives a non-branded blanket to a person in need for every blanket purchased. With a Purpose has over 41 blankets and 37 colleges available for purchase online

This Fall, Oklahoma Sooners Bookstore run by Follett helped deliver donation blankets to United Way Norman located in Norman, Oklahoma through the Oklahoma Sooners Blanket for a Blanket program.

United Way Norman gave blankets to 11 different organizations* in October with the help of their Community Impact Director Renee O'Leary and Store Director of the Oklahoma Sooner Bookstore Whitney Segraves (pictured above, first and second from the right. These enthusiastic women have been outstanding partners for With a Purpose and embody United Way's vision to join people together and empowering them to change lives in their community. "Thanks for letting us be a part of such an awesome mission," said Seagraves.

The combined effort of both organizations alongside all those who made blanket purchases has helped to bring warmth and dignity to hundreds more this season.

*The Oklahoma organizations donated to include: Transition House, Food and Shelter, ABLE, St. Vincent dePaul, Salvation Army, Women's Sanctuary, Meals on Wheels, Aging Services, Health Department, Thunderbird Clubhouse and Mission Norman.
