Transitions Graduates Receive Donation Blankets

One of With A Purpose's nonprofit partners, Transitions, located in Columbia, South Carolina recently celebrated the graduation of 19 partiscipants from the DEW Back to Work program. Transitions is an organization aimed at helping homeless individuals secure housing through a variety of programs. This year, 19 out of the original class of 53 completed the program. The graduates were gifted with donation blankets given by With A Purpose.

"We just got word that one client got hired today! We are so SO proud of these folks who worked so hard to complete the program," shared Natascha Gochett, Deveopment Coordinator at Transitions. Their DEW Back to Work program lasts six weeks, beginning with a "bootcamp" and finishing with a hiring event to give people an opportunity to secure second chance employment.

Thank you to Transitions and all of those who purchased from the South Carolina Gamecocks Blanket for a Blanket and Clemson Tigers Blanket for a Blanket programs. For each blanket purchased a non branded blanket is donated to a person in need. Together your efforts have helped change lives and provide warmth for some very diligent and deserving individuals. Congratulations to the graduates!
